A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle on PR-6 highway in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, early this morning, according to the Puerto Rico Police. The incident occurred around 4:53 a.m. while the pedestrian was walking on the road in the direction from Cataño to Bayamón.
The driver of the vehicle, whose circumstances are still being investigated, struck the pedestrian, causing fatal injuries. The driver remained at the scene of the accident.
The case is being investigated by Agent Sánchez from the Bayamón Highway Patrol Division, along with the on-duty prosecutor. The police received a call about the traffic accident through the 911 Emergency System.
