A three-year-old infant from Arecibo died in a swimming pool at a short-term rental apartment in Boquerón, Cabo Rojo. The Municipality of Arecibo offered condolences to the family of the deceased, who are owners of 'Iván Auto Parts' in the Hato Arriba neighborhood.

The incident occurred at 4:00 p.m. at the Boquerón Pool Paradise apartments, where the family had just arrived and were unloading luggage when they discovered the infant's absence and found him floating in the pool. The infant was taken to the Mayagüez Medical Center, where he was declared dead.
The Mayagüez Homicide Division and the Department of Family are investigating the incident. Arecibo Mayor Carlos 'Tito' Ramírez Irizarry expressed his condolences, saying 'there are no words to console the loss of a child' and asked for strength, comfort, and peace for the family.
