A 23-year-old woman, Genesis Torres Núñez, died Sunday night after a motorcycle accident on PR-143 in Villalba. According to the preliminary investigation, the accident occurred around 9:00 p.m. at kilometer 37.8, near Miradero.
Torres Núñez was driving a red and white Honda CRF-450 motorcycle when she apparently lost control due to excessive speed and crashed into a concrete barrier. She suffered severe injuries and was taken to the CDT San Cristóbal de Villalba by family members, where she was pronounced dead by the on-duty doctor.
The investigation is being led by Agent Gustavo De Jesús of the Ponce Highway Patrol Division, along with Prosecutor Natalia Pizarro.
