Police in Puerto Rico reported that a charred body was found inside a burning vehicle on V-1 street in the Luquillo Mar urbanización, in the municipality of Luquillo. According to preliminary information, police learned of the situation through a call to the 9-1-1 Emergency System received at 3:21 p.m.
Saturday. Personnel from the Fire Bureau (Cuerpo de Bomberos) extinguished the fire, which allowed police officers to notice the body inside the vehicle.
As of the report, authorities had not released the identity of the person found, nor a description of the vehicle. The investigation is being handled by personnel from the Homicide Division of the Bureau of Criminal Investigations (CIC) in Fajardo.
