Chris McCullough made his debut with the Vaqueros de Bayamón, scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds, including the winning basket, to help his team tie the semifinal series of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) Conference A, 1-1, with a 73-71 win over the Gigantes de Carolina-Canóvanas. McCullough was recruited by the Vaqueros as a replacement for Jae Crowder.
Stephen Thompson Jr. added 16 points, including three three-pointers, off the bench. For Carolina-Canóvanas, George Conditt IV and Tremont Waters each scored 17 points, with Conditt also grabbing 15 rebounds.
In another semifinal series, the Santeros de Aguada defeated the Capitanes de Arecibo, 83-79, to tie their Conference B series, 1-1. Joel Soriano, Jacob Wiley, and Rigoberto Mendoza each scored over 20 points for the Santeros, with Soriano and Wiley also achieving double-doubles with 11 and 10 rebounds, respectively.
