The celebration of the Constitution Day of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico will take place on Saturday, July 25, in the public plaza of Cayey. The official events are organized by the Municipality of Cayey, and Commissioner Resident of Puerto Rico in Washington, Pablo José Hernández Rivera, has been invited as the main speaker.

The event will start at 1:00 pm at the Municipal Theater, followed by artistic performances in the Ramón Frade León plaza, including a comparsa of pleneros, the group Plenéalo, Grupomanía, and the Orquesta Mulenze. The Mayor of Cayey, Rolando Ortiz Velázquez, expressed his satisfaction that the commissioner will participate in the event, highlighting the importance of the Constitution as the foundation of the island's laws and the guarantee of fundamental rights and duties.

The Constitution was drafted in February 1952 by a Constituent Assembly composed of 92 people chosen by the people, and its final document was signed by notable figures such as Luis Muñoz Marín and Luis A. Ferré.
