Osvaldo M. González Ibarra, 27, was charged by prosecutor Sigrid Nazario with falsely reporting the theft of his vehicle, a 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 Rebel, to avoid making monthly payments and to defraud the insurance company. On March 30, González Ibarra told an investigator from the Aguadilla Stolen Vehicles Division that his vehicle had been stolen from the Aguadilla Mall parking lot, and later reported it was found burned on PR-459 in the Camaseyes neighborhood.

Judge Sandra I. Segarra determined there was probable cause for arrest and set a $9,000 bond, which was deferred through the Pre-Trial Services Program. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 21.

The investigation was led by Agent Reinaldo Villanueva Morales under the supervision of Lieutenant Ruth Grajales Hernández, deputy director of the Aguadilla Stolen Vehicles Division.
