The Vaqueros de Bayamón and the Capitanes de Arecibo achieved victories as visitors in the continuation of the quarterfinals in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). Bayamón defeated the Gigantes de Carolina-Canóvanas 72-68 at the Carlos Miguel Mangual Coliseum in Canóvanas. The visitors dominated from the initial jump, finishing the first half 35-28, and returned from the break with a 6-2 lead that was enough to expand their advantage.
Javier Mojica scored 13 points, Gary Brown added 12, and Pérez led the Vaqueros. George Conditt led the Gigantes with 16 points and 11 rebounds. In another game, the Capitanes de Arecibo defeated the Santeros de Aguada 100-93 at the Ismael 'Chavalillo' Delgado Coliseum.
Arecibo increased their offense in the third quarter, scoring 31 points to take control of the game. Although it seemed like Arecibo had the game won, Aguada's offense woke up with a spectacular comeback that narrowed the gap.
