The Police identified the man shot and killed on Wednesday afternoon in the parking lot of the El Prado residential complex in Río Piedras as Luis Omar Clemente Acosta, a 31-year-old resident of Río Piedras. According to the preliminary report, the incident was reported at 5:07 p.m. after a 9-1-1 call alerted authorities to shots fired in front of building 43 of the public housing complex.
Upon arrival, agents from the Río Piedras precinct found Clemente Acosta's body with gunshot wounds in the parking area. Agent Miguel Sáez of the San Juan Criminal Investigations Corps' Homicide Division, along with prosecutor María Sofía Cruz Colón, is in charge of the investigation.
