A weak tropical wave will bring increased showers to western Puerto Rico, mainly during the afternoon. The weather will remain windy and hazy until Saturday due to Saharan dust. A stronger tropical wave is expected to arrive between Sunday night and Monday.
There will be a moderate risk of rip currents at exposed beaches throughout the week and weekend. In addition to afternoon showers in western Puerto Rico, brief showers are also expected at night and early morning in eastern Puerto Rico. The heat index could reach 100-108 °F in low-lying areas before the afternoon showers.
Today, scattered showers are expected, mainly between noon and 3:00 p.m., with a high temperature of 89 °F and a 40% chance of rain. Tonight, isolated showers are expected after 9:00 p.m. with a low temperature of 78 °F and a 20% chance of rain. Tomorrow, scattered showers are expected, mainly after 9:00 a.m., with a high temperature of 88 °F.
