Jeremy Resto Boria, a 20-year-old resident of Gurabo, was arrested by agents from the Caguas Division of Intelligence and Arrests on Thursday. Resto Boria had an outstanding arrest warrant for first-degree murder and violation of the Weapons Law, issued by Judge Irmarie Colón with a $3 million bond. He was arrested in the Las Carolinas sector of Caguas and was found in possession of an illegal Glock 45 firearm. Resto Boria is accused of intentionally causing the death of José F.
Pérez Rosario, alias Chelo, on June 20 of this year, in Gurabo. He was taken before Judge Colón, who ordered his admission to the Bayamón Correctional Complex. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 4. During the arrest, a woman was also arrested for possession of a stolen 2024 Dodge RAM Rebel truck.
The case will be consulted with the Caguas prosecutor's office for possible criminal charges. The investigation was led by Agent Liliana Ortiz, under the supervision of Sergeant Mari Tere Rivera and Lieutenant Luis A. Rodríguez.
