Aria Vega will arrive in Puerto Rico on August 15 with her show Cariavales, inspired by the Carnival of Barranquilla. The singer aims to bring the audience closer to the culture of the Colombian Caribbean coast.
Through Cariavales, Vega recreates the essence of the Carnival of Barranquilla, one of the most important cultural expressions of her hometown. She explained that her presentation brings part of the celebration to the stage, showcasing the music, dance, and costumes of the Carnival.
Vega considers it a responsibility to spread her roots through her music and has accumulated over 2 million uses of her songs on TikTok. She believes that staying true to her identity has been key to her growth and hopes to transmit the cultural similarities between Puerto Rico and the Colombian Caribbean coast during her performance at the Melody Fest.
