A woman filed a complaint after being attacked by a man who injected a substance into her arm in Vieques. Police were alerted to the incident on Sunday around 11:00 p.m. According to a preliminary investigation, the victim was in the Villa Hugo sector, on Route 200 in the island municipality.
Police said that when officers arrived, they interviewed the complainant, who stated that an individual—whom she says she can identify—allegedly injected a white-colored substance into her right arm using a syringe. The complainant said the person then left the scene in a vehicle. The woman was taken to a hospital, where she was evaluated and told that tests would be performed.
Her condition was described as stable. The investigation is being handled by the Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC) of the Fajardo area.
