According to the Police report, five armed individuals robbed two vehicles in Canóvanas on Tuesday night, near a sports field. The robbers took the keys and phones from the victims and fled in the stolen vehicles: a 2016 Hyundai Elantra (IPP-393) and a 2023 Hyundai Venue (KDY-118). The suspects abandoned a previously stolen van at the scene, which had been reported missing in Carolina.
The CIC's Robbery Division in Carolina is investigating. The Police are asking for confidential information at 787-343-2020. In a separate incident, a violent death was reported in Fajardo on Wednesday at 5:50 am, where a man's body was found with his hands tied and multiple gunshot wounds on PR-984 road.
Fajardo's Homicide Division is investigating.
