A driver was beaten during an armed robbery reported Wednesday at 11:40 AM on road PR-957 in front of the Quintas de Altamira neighborhood in Canóvanas, Puerto Rico. According to the complaint, the driver was intercepted by two criminals in a white Hyundai Elantra who, using threats and intimidation with firearms, took from him a Glock pistol, a chain, and his vehicle keys.
They also took an undetermined amount of cash. The victim alleged that one of the assailants struck him in the head with a firearm. His condition is unknown.
The investigation was referred to the Robbery Division of the Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC) of Carolina.
