Canóvanas is a municipality in the eastern region of Puerto Rico, set inland about 15 miles from San Juan. It lies north of Juncos and Las Piedras, south of Loíza, east of Carolina, and west of Río Grande, and is organized into six barrios plus Canóvanas Pueblo, covering roughly 73 square kilometers with a population of about 42,337 as of 2020.
