A woman was killed early Tuesday morning in San Germán, Puerto Rico, police reported. According to a preliminary report, around 2:00 a.m. the San Germán police district received a call reporting gunshots on road PR-102, kilometer 36.3, in the Minillas neighborhood, in front of the former Villa Chelín. When officers arrived, they found the woman's body on the side of the road with multiple gunshot wounds.
State paramedics responded and determined the victim showed no vital signs. The body was found face down, and the woman was wearing a black sleeveless blouse and blue shorts. The case has been referred to Inspector Joel González, director of the Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC) in Mayagüez, and the prosecutor on duty, who will take over the investigation.
