An elderly woman was found dead around 1:30 p.m. Friday inside a home on Tegucigalpa Street in the Las Américas neighborhood of San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Telenoticias reported that the woman lived with her son, who has a physical disability, and he was found beside her decomposed body. The cause of death remains unknown.
According to the police report, officers arrived at the residence after relatives contacted them because they had been unable to reach the woman. Agent Héctor Reyes, assigned to the Puerto Nuevo Precinct, along with personnel from the Homicide Division of the Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) of San Juan and the on-duty prosecutor, took charge of the investigation.
