The decomposed body of a woman was found in a residence on Comerío Street in Bayamón on Friday morning. The discovery was made after a 9-1-1 call reported a strong odor coming from the home at 8:45 a.m. Police officers found the woman's body in one of the rooms, but no visible signs of violence were observed.
The woman has not been identified. Agent Vivian Acevedo from the Homicide Division of the Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC) in Bayamón, along with prosecutor Alexandra Villamar, are in charge of the investigation. The body was taken to the Institute of Forensic Sciences (ICF) for autopsy.
The cause of death has not been determined.
