A fire destroyed three vehicles in the Veve Calzada urbanization of Fajardo. The incident occurred at 2:25 a.m. when a call was made to the Fajardo police station reporting a vehicle on fire. Upon arrival, officers found a 2004 yellow Hummer, a 1994 white Ford, and a 1998 white Dodge RAM van burned.
The fire was extinguished by Fajardo firefighters. The damage to the vehicles has not been estimated. Two containers with accelerant were found at the scene, suggesting a criminal act.
The investigation is being handled by agents from the Humacao Explosives Division.
