A 67-year-old man, José Luis Vélez Hernández, was stabbed in the chest during an altercation outside a supermarket on PR-435 in the Mirabales sector of the Percha neighborhood in San Sebastián. The incident occurred at 2:55 p.m. and police were alerted to a person lying on the pavement.
Agents from the San Sebastián Police District found Vélez Hernández with a puncture wound and arrested a 64-year-old man as a suspect in the attack, which is believed to have occurred during a fight. Vélez Hernández was taken to a hospital in the region, where he received medical attention and is currently in stable condition.
The investigation is being led by Agent Miguel Morales Rosa under the supervision of Sergeant Rosa Irizarry Pagán.
