The La Plata and Cidra reservoirs in Puerto Rico remain at 'adjustment' levels after their water levels decreased, according to the Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority. La Plata, located in Toa Alta, lost 2 centimeters to reach 44.52 meters, while Cidra is currently at 400.16 meters after a 1-centimeter decrease. Eight other reservoirs, including Carraízo and Fajardo, also lost water and are under 'observation'.
Meanwhile, Toa Vaca, Carite, Patillas, Guayabal, Lucchetti, and Cerrillos showed decreases but are at 'security' levels. In contrast, Río Blanco, Guineo, Matrullas, Garzas, Guayo, Dos Bocas, and Caonillas reservoirs saw increases in their capacity, with Guineo being the only one at 'overflow' levels. Loco and Guajataca reservoirs remained unchanged, both at 'security' levels.
The National Weather Service predicts a hot day with afternoon showers for Sunday, particularly in the interior and western parts of Puerto Rico.
