Ford Puerto Rico is participating in the Global Food Drive, a worldwide initiative to collect non-perishable food items for the Puerto Rico Food Bank. The campaign, which runs until September 30, is part of the Ford Building Together program, promoting collaboration between dealers, employees, customers, and non-profit organizations to positively impact communities. The collected food will be delivered to the Puerto Rico Food Bank, which works to mitigate hunger, improve nutrition, and support vulnerable individuals and families.
The initiative coincides with September's Hunger Action Month, aiming to raise awareness and efforts against food insecurity on the island. Interested individuals can donate non-perishable food items at any of the nine authorized Ford dealerships in Puerto Rico. Last year, the Ford Global Food Drive collected over two million pounds of food through 1,900 participating dealers worldwide, and the company aims to surpass this amount this year.
Rosángela Guerra, General Director of Ford for Puerto Rico, Central America, and the Caribbean, and Mari Jo Laborde, President and CEO of the Puerto Rico Food Bank, highlighted the importance of this collaboration and the impact it will have on the community.
