The 2026 season of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional Femenino (BSNF) has begun, with the Ganaderas de Hatillo, Criollas de Caguas, and Leonas de Ponce winning their first games. The Ganaderas defeated the Explosivas de Moca 70-45, led by Dontavia Waggoner with 27 points and 14 rebounds.
The Criollas won 78-55 against the Cariduras de Fajardo, with Tea Cooper scoring 24 points, eight assists, and four rebounds. The Leonas beat the Monarcas de Juana Díaz 76-71, with Gabriela Gregory making a decisive three-pointer with 21 seconds left.
Gregory finished with 24 points, while Brittany Brewer added 13 points and nine rebounds. The BSNF season will continue on Monday with the Cangrejeras de Santurce hosting the Ganaderas at 8:00 p.m. in the Roberto Clemente Coliseum in San Juan.
