The Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) has asked federal judge Raúl Arias Marxuach to dismiss a lawsuit filed by the company Power Expectations, which is seeking to reinstate a controversial temporary generation contract. As an alternative to dismissal, PREPA requested that the case be referred to the office of Judge Laura Taylor Swain, who oversees Puerto Rico's Title III bankruptcy proceedings under the federal PROMESA law.
