The Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) board of directors held its first meeting of the offseason on Tuesday, according to Primera Hora. BSN President Ricardo Dalmau presented a report comparing TV ratings, YouTube views, and social media interactions from 2020 to 2026, showing significant increases in Puerto Rico and other countries compared to the 2025 tournament.
The board discussed successful marketing initiatives and will meet again on September 25 and 30. An extraordinary meeting will follow, where changes to the BSN regulations may be proposed, such as the use of three reinforcements or modifications to the current tournament format.
Currently, no team owners have proposed relocating their franchises to another municipality for the 2027 season, contrary to social media reports about teams like the Indios de Mayagüez and the Osos de Manatí.
