Officers from the Bureau of Intelligence and Arrests captured fugitive Daniel Adrián Cuevas González, alias "Barba," 20, on the previous day (relative to article publication). He was wanted on an arrest warrant for first-degree murder, weapons law violations, and using a mask, with bail set at $4 million. Cuevas González had been on Puerto Rico's list of the 12 Most Wanted.
He was intercepted on Padre Capuchino Street in Río Piedras, where agents seized a Glock 9mm pistol modified to fire automatically, four magazines, 67 rounds of ammunition, and 448 crack capsules. The case is linked to the killing of Jason Díaz Torres, 34, who was shot while driving a gray GMC Envoy on PR-155 near kilometer 53 in the Torrecillas neighborhood of Morovis on the night of Saturday, April 11.
