Authorities in Aguada are investigating a malicious fire reported early Friday morning in the Guaniquilla neighborhood's Novoa Vieja area. According to the complainant, someone wearing a black sweatshirt and shorts poured an accelerant into the rear of their 1988 red Nissan Pathfinder, causing a partial fire.
The complainant was able to extinguish the flames using a fire extinguisher. The suspect was not arrested, and no injuries were reported.
Agent Joans Pérez of the Aguada District initially investigated the case and referred it to Agent Norberto Jiménez of the Aguadilla Explosives Division.
