Aguada

Aguada is a coastal town in Puerto Rico's West region, sitting in the northwestern coastal valley along the Atlantic Ocean about 71 miles from San Juan. It borders Rincón to the west, Aguadilla to the north, Moca to the east, and Añasco and Mayagüez to the south, and forms part of the Aguadilla-Isabela-San Sebastián Metropolitan Statistical Area. Its roughly 38,136 residents (2020) are distributed across 17 barrios plus the Aguada Pueblo.

Founded in 1508, Aguada was originally named San Francisco de Asís de la Aguada, reflecting its status as one of the island's older settlements. Local life includes the Museo de Aguada, which preserves the town's history and culture, and La Costa Sports and Friends, a nightlife spot along the coast.
