A police patrol car caught fire in the Vista Azul urbanization in Arecibo during the early hours of Saturday, damaging another vehicle parked nearby. According to the police report, officers from Precinct 107 in Arecibo were issuing a ticket for a traffic violation when the fire started in a 2016 Ford Taurus belonging to the police.
The fire also reached a 2020 gray Volkswagen Jetta that was parked near the official vehicle. Firefighters from the Fire Department Corps arrived at the scene and extinguished the flames.
At the time, authorities had not determined the cause of the fire, but indicated that no one was injured in the incident.
