The Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (AAA) reported that the Carraízo reservoir in Trujillo Alto experienced a water level decrease for the third consecutive day, dropping 5 centimeters in the last 24 hours to 40.70 meters, which is in the safety phase. The reservoir needs to gain 25 centimeters to reach the overflow level of 40.95 meters.
Other reservoirs, such as La Plata, Toa Vaca, and Fajardo, also saw decreases in water levels, while others like Río Blanco and Guajataca saw increases. The National Weather Service (NWS) in San Juan expects another active afternoon with rain showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the interior, west, and east of the island, with a 40% chance of rain.
The AAA also reported that the Carraízo reservoir serves municipalities including San Juan, Trujillo Alto, Carolina, Canóvanas, and Gurabo.
