The Puerto Rico Police Department's Robbery Division of the Bayamón Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) is seeking the public's help in identifying and locating a suspect in a robbery attempt at a Mobil gas station on PR-174 in Bayamón. The incident occurred on the night of September 22, 2026. According to preliminary information, the suspect, a man between 20 and 30 years old, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a dark complexion, approached a couple at the gas station and announced a robbery, using a firearm to intimidate them.
A struggle ensued, and the suspect shot the male victim. The female victim intervened, using a bladed weapon to injure the suspect, who then shot her as well. The suspect was described as wearing black clothing, white shoes, and a mask.
