The president of the Federation of Mayors, Gabriel Hernández Rodríguez, congratulated Hiram Torres Montalvo on his election as the new mayor of Cataño and announced that he will coordinate a meeting with the municipal executive to discuss the main needs of the municipality. Hernández Rodríguez, who is also the mayor of Camuy, stated that starting Tuesday, he will begin efforts to arrange the meeting to learn about the priorities of the new administration and the issues that require attention.
The Federation of Mayors plans to address topics such as infrastructure, essential services, and access to state and federal funds. Hernández Rodríguez expressed his desire to meet with the new mayor as soon as possible to understand the current situation of the municipality and establish work priorities. He also welcomed Torres Montalvo to the Federation of Mayors, which brings together mayors from the New Progressive Party (PNP), and assured him that he will have the support of other municipal executives to share experiences, resources, and knowledge.
