The flow of cruise passengers using San Juan as a base port suffered a decline in June and July, with decreases of 19% and 2.1% compared to the same months in 2025. However, when including transit passengers, the first seven months of 2026 surpassed 2025 by 277,559 passengers. June saw a 10.3% increase in transit passengers, but July decreased by 30.4% compared to July 2025.
The total number of passengers in July was 22,706 less than in July 2025. Despite this, preliminary projections from the CTPR indicate that the total number of cruise passengers will exceed the previous record by around 100,000 passengers by the end of the fiscal year. In June, 9,287 cruise passengers used San Juan as a base port, a reduction of 2,178, while in July, 9,266 passengers used the port, a reduction of 194.
