LUMA Energy will conduct maintenance, modernization, and repair work on the electrical grid in various Puerto Rico municipalities on Wednesday. The work includes removing hazardous vegetation, restoring and modernizing substations, replacing and repairing lines and equipment, and increasing the resilience of poles. Approximately 17 towns will experience power outages due to the work.
Affected areas include Arecibo, Guaynabo, Villalba, San Juan, Vega Alta, Dorado, Bayamón, Humacao, Aguada, Aguas Buenas, and Aibonito. Specific locations within these municipalities will be affected, including urbanizations, communities, and roads. The work aims to improve the electrical grid's reliability and resilience.
