Puerto Rico Governor Jenniffer González faces another departure from her administration: Alberto Fradera, who ended his duties yesterday as deputy secretary of the Public Housing Administration (AVP), a post he held for a year and a half. Fradera said that on September 22 he received a communication from the agency's leadership asking for his resignation.
He explained the decision did not surprise him, since he had disagreements with a special aide close to the AVP administrator. However, the former deputy secretary did not rule out that the resignation request originated in La Fortaleza, the governor's office. Asked whether he supports the governor, Fradera said he is there to serve the people.
Addressing the controversy at the Department of the Family following the departure of Blanca Medina as administrator of the Administration for the Socioeconomic Development of the Family (ADSEF), a post she held for five years, Fradera cast doubt on statements that have emerged about the case. "I believe Blanca Medina and I have known her for many years. She is a woman of integrity," he said.
