Alberto Fradera, former deputy administrator of Vivienda Pública (Public Housing), said that on September 22 Secretary Luis Augusto Martínez asked him by phone to resign because of 'political perceptions' held by people close to the governor, according to his claim. In an interview on Radio Isla 1320, Fradera said he had no problems with Augusto Martínez.

Asked whether he had issues with Joe Torres, a coworker and special aide at Vivienda Pública, he said 'they have to ask him' and that he would not engage in 'back-and-forth.' He said people had asked whether he was loyal to Thomas Rivera Schatz and told listeners to ask Torres, whom he said started raising those topics.

Fradera said he has been transparent and was always associated with many people, having worked with various party presidents and governors who trusted him. He said the perceptions came from teams close to the governor and coworkers who 'are looking for other things.' Responding to allegations that he sold tickets for Rivera Schatz and supports him, he said Rivera Schatz is Senate president and that he supports the work of the Senate president, the House speaker, mayors, and the governor, who was elected by his party.

He said he is not disappointed in his party, only possibly in some people within it, and declined to name names.
