The Arecibo Stolen Vehicles Division conducted a search and raid on a suspected clandestine auto body and paint shop in the Hato Viejo neighborhood, seizing five vehicles and two license plates for investigation. The operation, carried out on Friday afternoon, was authorized by Judge Nivia Candelaria Martes of the Arecibo Tribunal. According to the Police, the establishment was performing auto body and paint work without required licenses and authorizations, and allegedly lacked municipal permits to operate.
Agents also found a suspected junkyard on the premises. The 31-year-old owner was cited by Agent Marlon Riquelme Drouet to appear before the Arecibo Tribunal on October 13. The intervention is part of the Stolen Vehicles Division's investigative work to detect potential irregularities related to vehicles and clandestine shops.
