A woman, estimated to be between 45 and 50 years old, was shot and killed in the early hours of Saturday in front of the El Gandul business on Aurora Street in Santurce, according to the Police. Lieutenant Idamaris Morales, director of the Homicide Division of the San Juan Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC), stated that the incident occurred at approximately 4:26 a.m. and the victim had multiple gunshot wounds.
The police are currently investigating and do not have any witnesses, making it unclear how many people were involved in the crime. Morales suggested that the murder may be related to controlled substances, as some were found near the victim's hand. Additionally, the police are investigating the murder of 28-year-old motorcyclist Rey Joel Hernández Fuentes, who was shot and killed on Friday at around 9:35 p.m. in Hato Rey.
The police are trying to determine if Hernández Fuentes was already injured when he arrived at the scene or if he was shot while driving his motorcycle.
