The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for all of Puerto Rico from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on October 6. The morning of October 6 will have less humidity than normal and dry air in the mid-levels, with conditions becoming more favorable by the afternoon as humidity increases, particularly over the western interior and northwestern Puerto Rico. There is a moderate risk of rip currents on the northern and eastern beaches of the islands from October 6 until Thursday.
October 6 will be mostly sunny, with a high temperature near 91 °F and a heat index of up to 105 °F. Scattered showers are expected before noon, then scattered showers and thunderstorms between noon and 3:00 PM, followed by isolated showers after 3:00 PM, with a 50% chance of rain during the day. The night of October 6 will be partly cloudy, with scattered showers mainly after 3:00 AM, a low temperature near 79 °F and a 40% chance of rain. The winds will be from the east at 6-15 mph, with gusts up to 21 mph during the day, and from the east-southeast at 8-10 mph at night.
Corrected October 8: an earlier version put thunderstorms before noon and left out the 50% daytime chance of rain. The National Weather Service forecast, as NotiCel reported it, had scattered showers before noon, showers and thunderstorms from noon to 3:00 PM, and isolated showers after that.
