Jacqueline Rivera Villalongo, a 36-year-old woman from Canóvanas, was accused of assaulting her partner with her hands and an iron pipe during a domestic violence incident. The incident occurred on October 5 at around 9:30 PM in the presence of four minors, aged 15, 9, 8, and 1. Rivera Villalongo allegedly used the iron pipe to attack her partner, who was taken to a hospital by ambulance and underwent a CT scan and X-rays.
The case was presented to Judge Geisa Marrero, who determined probable cause for arrest and set a $4,000 bail. Rivera Villalongo did not post bail and was booked and admitted to the Bayamón Women’s Rehabilitation Complex. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for a later date.
The prosecution filed charges under the Domestic Violence Prevention and Intervention Law and the Puerto Rico Weapons Law.
