Why this matters: For Ponce, the show is framed as an economic boost to the south, with the municipality and the Tourism Company backing an outdoor concert at El Vigía backed by doubled free transport and expanded security and bar staff.

The Puerto Rican band Cultura Profética will perform on December 30 at 6:00 PM at the Cruceta del Vigía in Ponce, presenting its musical production "En Bucle" in what the band says is its last concert of 2026 in Puerto Rico. The project includes collaborations with artists ranging from recognized figures like Dread Mar-I of Argentina and KAPO of Colombia to emerging Puerto Rican talents Bebo Dumont and Frido Vargas.

The outdoor-format show offers panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea from El Vigía. Producer Sebastián Castro said that, as the year’s final concert and taking into account suggestions from the band’s supporters, the team has taken on the challenge of improving the experience by 200%, including double the free transportation, more security personnel, and more bar staff, and said the production is committed to raising the entertainment experience in the southern area, especially Ponce.

The Municipality of Ponce, through Mayor Marlese Sifre, and the Puerto Rico Tourism Company have joined the proposal. Tickets are available at boletera.net.
