William Noel Rivera Sánchez asked his friend, Marimar Crispín, to pray for him, his family, those close to him and his son, in what turned out to be his last message to her. Soon afterward, it became known that he had taken his own life at his residence in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico, after authorities arrived at the scene.

Crispín, a merchant, said they had been friends for years and met in 2017. She recalled telling him, "I want to see you, what is going on?" and that he only answered, "Pray for me." She said Rivera Sánchez loved her and was a great friend.

She last saw him at her business the previous week; he told her everything was fine, but she said his eyes said otherwise. According to Rivera Sánchez’s social media posts, the bail bondsman and two other men were involved in creating cannabis dispensaries. Rivera Sánchez alleged he invested all his money in the project and suffered losses, and he filed the first lawsuit in 2025.

Without going into the sequence of events under police investigation, or the videos in which Rivera Sánchez claimed responsibility for two killings, Crispín described him as generous, hardworking and respectful. The events under investigation began to be reported on Thursday night in Guayama and continued Friday in Ponce and Santa Isabel.
