A man was shot dead early Tuesday on road PR-807 in the Aldea Vázquez neighborhood of Corozal, the Puerto Rico Police Bureau reported. According to preliminary information, a phone call alerted officers to gunfire at the scene at around 12:36 AM. When officers arrived, they found the body of a man with multiple bullet wounds.
He was identified as Miguel Albino Rivera, 38 years old and a resident of Corozal. The Police Bureau stated that Albino Rivera had been fingerprinted in September for a violation of the Controlled Substances Act. The investigation is in the hands of agent Nicolás Maldonado Vélez, assigned to the Homicide Division of the Criminal Investigations Corps of Vega Baja.
