A 19-year-old man was shot in the right arm early Sunday while riding a motorcycle along PR-173 in the Sumidero neighborhood of Aguas Buenas. According to the Puerto Rico Police preliminary report, the shooting happened around 12:40 AM, near a restaurant, when the young man heard a gunshot and then realized he had been wounded.
He was taken in a private vehicle to a hospital in the Caguas area, where the physician on duty diagnosed a gunshot wound with an entry and exit hole in his right arm. His condition was described as stable. Officer Alexander Ramírez Barbosa, assigned to the Caguas District, conducted the initial investigation and referred the case to the Assault Division of the Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC) of Caguas, which will continue the investigation.
