Subscribers of the La Plata reservoir in Puerto Rico are on alert over the possibility of water rationing, as the reservoir’s level has fallen into the Adjustments band. The president of the Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (AAA), Luis González, said the agency keeps monitoring the levels but expects an encouraging forecast next week.
He also said the agency is attending to reports of leaks. Rationing remains a possibility while La Plata sits in the Adjustments band, though González’s comments point to hope that rainfall in the coming days could ease the situation.
