Days before the Miss Universe pageant begins, Miss Universe Puerto Rico Jennifer Barreto met with Governor Jenniffer González Colón on Tuesday at La Fortaleza. The pageant will be held in Puerto Rico for the fourth time, and more than 120 candidates from around the world will arrive, with Barreto serving as host. During the meeting, the two discussed the impact and representation the event brings to the island.
Barreto said she is ready to put into practice the work refined over months of preparation and said she feels blessed to take on the role of hostess. The governor called Barreto "a great ambassador" for Puerto Rico and expressed confidence that she will win the island’s sixth crown. The pageant’s final night will be broadcast on November 24 through Wapa.tv.
