A woman was struck by a vehicle while trying to cross the roadway on PR-2 in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, in an incident the Puerto Rico Police Bureau has been investigating since early Wednesday morning. The accident was reported at about 4:04 AM at kilometer 12.5 of PR-2. According to preliminary information, the woman was attempting to cross the roadway when she was hit by a 2005 Toyota Echo.
She received medical assistance at the scene and was taken to the Centro Médico in Río Piedras. At the time of the police report, her health condition was unknown. The driver remained at the scene, where he was given a breath alcohol test that returned a result of 0.00%. The case is being investigated by the Bayamón Highway Patrol Division.
