A gray 2016 Hyundai Tucson reported stolen from the Plaza del Sol shopping center in Bayamón was found burned Wednesday night on Marte street in the Abra San Francisco area of Arecibo. According to the Puerto Rico Police Bureau, a citizen alerted authorities through the 9-1-1 Emergency System about the discovery. Agents from Precinto 107 in Arecibo and personnel from the Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire.
When they checked the vehicle’s license plate, agents confirmed that its owner had reported it stolen at around 8:00 PM that same day at the Bayamón shopping center. The Police stated that the SUV was completely burned. Sergeant Juan Román, of the Stolen Vehicles Division for the Arecibo area, is in charge of the investigation.
