Why this matters: The sneakers’ colorways are drawn from island imagery, from a tropical storm’s gray sky to coastal sunsets, extending Bad Bunny’s Puerto Rico-rooted branding into a global product line that lands November 12.

Bad Bunny is releasing two new versions of his BadBo sneakers that pay tribute to the landscapes and colors of Puerto Rico, Adidas confirmed in an official statement published on Thursday. The sportswear company announced that the BadBo 1.0 and BadBo 1.1 models will be available starting November 12. The BadBo 1.0 features a combination of gray and white tones inspired by the changing sky during a tropical storm in Puerto Rico, while the BadBo 1.1 incorporates brown, pink and gray colors evoking sunsets over the island’s coasts.

The advertising campaign also highlights figures tied to Puerto Rican culture, including Major League Baseball player Kiké Hernández and Toñita, known for keeping the Caribbean Social Club alive in Brooklyn, New York. They are joined by legendary track and field athlete Jackie Joyner-Kersee, skateboarder Tyshawn Jones and South Korean Olympic shooter Kim Ye-ji. According to Adidas, the BadBo 1.0 will cost $160 and the BadBo 1.1 $120.

Both models will be available internationally through the Adidas CONFIRMED app and at select stores, as part of the artist’s ongoing collaboration with the brand.
